7. 31-

Age: 5+

Number of players: 2-4

Cards: Standard deck of 52 cards

Instructions:

-This game is fast and very useful to play with kids and the only thing one requires is addition.

-The distributor will distribute 3 cards to each player which will be kept face down and the remaining cards should be kept in the middle in the form of a pile.

-After the distribution only the players can have a look at their cards.

-Every player will have their turn to pick up a card from the pile and will have to discard one.

-The aim of this game is to have a sum of 31 in your hand before the other players.

-The card face value will be used for counting and the aces can be used as either 1 or 11.

6. Ring your neck-

Number of players: 2-4

Cards: Standard deck of 52 cards

Instructions-

-The distributor will shuffle the deck and place any 10 cards face down in the form of a circle in the middle of the table.

-The one who shuffles the cards will tell everybody the point system which is jacks-11, kings-13, queens-12, and aces-1.

-Players can choose 1 or 2 card from the circle. This game can be played using addition, multiplication, subtraction or division.

-For kids the best method is to use addition. If a player selects a jack then his/her score will be 11 and the players must go on adding their scores each time they draw a card or two.

-All the players will start with a score of 0.

-The person with the highest score wins the game.

5. Chase the Ace

Instructions-

-The distributor will distribute cards one card each at a time to each player.

-All the cards must remain face down and the players can look at the cards once the distribution is done.

-The aim of this game is to not have the lowest card.

-Now once the players have looked into their cards they must choose whether they want to pass on their card to the player sitting in the left or keep them.

-The ranks go A – K, which means that if you have a card with the face value of 10 or higher you will want to hold on to it. If you’re holding a low ranked card, you would want to switch with the person to the left of you.

-If one has a King, then he/she must hold on to their card regardless of what the other players want to do.

-In Chase the Ace, you usually give the player x number of lives, since it is a very fast game to play.

-One player must remove all the face cards and 10’s from the deck of cards.

-Then the deck should be shuffled and placed faced down in the center of the table.

-All the players will have to re-arrange their cards and try to make number pairs which if added together comes close to 100.

-For instance the cards like 6,1,3, and 9 can be arranged to form 61 and 39 and when they will be added together they will form a 100.

-The aim of this game is to form numbers close to 100 and whoever is closest to 100 will win.

Instructions:

-It is a classic game and can be played among 3-5 players.

-Distribute the cards among yourselves and some might have one extra card.

-The aim is to obtain as many four of a kind set as possible.

-The player to the dealer’s left can begin the play by asking any player for a specific card, such as the four of hearts.

-The player must be holding at least one four to ask for a four.

-If the player gets the card he/she asks for, he/she gets to ask again. When a player collects four cards of a kind, he/she shows them to the other players and places them face down.

-When one runs out of cards, he/she is out of the game.

-If all cards have been played down, the player with the most sets of four wins the game. Ties may occur.

2. Pig-

Instructions:

-The distributor will distribute 4 cards each to every player.

-The aim of this game is to collect a set of 4 matching cards

-All the players must pass one card which they don’t need from their 4 cards to the player sitting on their left.

-This process of passing cards will continue till one players gets his/her matching set of 4 cards.

-When a player collects such cards then he/she does not say anything but begins to touch the end of their nose. Once someone does this all the other players must do this even if they do not have set of cards.

-The last player to touch his/her nose is out

1. The Greatest of All-

Card Games for Kids

Age: 7+

Number of players: 3-5

Cards: Standard deck of 52 cards

Instructions:

-One player must remove all the 10’s and face cards from the deck and then the deck should be shuffled.

-The distributor must distribute 6 cards each to all the players.

-The aim of this game is to arrange the cards in two rows of three.

-In each row the player will have to create the largest number they can.

-After this they will have to add their two extra large numbers to get the sum total.

-The timer can be started and the distributor of the cards can yell “Go”.

-The player who will have the largest sum wins all the cards and the player who will have the most cards after the deck runs out will be the winner.
